Does Progesterone Cause Weight Gain or Weight Loss?

Does Progesterone Cause Weight Gain or Weight Loss?

Progesterone can cause weight loss or weight gain depending on the situation.

If you are interested in losing weight while taking progesterone you will want to make sure you are doing 4 things:

- Make sure you are taking bio identical progesterone.
- Make sure you are using progesterone correctly (through the transdermal route).
- Make sure you are taking it at the right time of the month (days 14-28 of your cycle).
- And make sure you are not using TOO much for your body.

This guide will walk you through who should use progesterone for weight loss and who should avoid it.

If you use progesterone in this way there is a good chance it will actually help with weight loss.

Using progesterone if you have normal levels of progesterone may lead to weight gain and other symptoms of progesterone excess.
